File | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday (April 25, 2026) appealed to voters across the State to ensure 100% turnout in the local body elections scheduled for Sunday (April 26, 2026), calling it a “sacred festival of democracy”. As many as 9,992 local representatives are in the fray for the April 26 elections to 15 municipal corporations, 84 municipalities, 34 district panchayats and 260 taluka panchayats, making it one of the largest electoral exercises in the State. More than 4.18 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise on Sunday (April 26, 2026). Voting will begin at 7 A.M. and conclude at 6 P.M., and votes will be counted on April 28.
