Photo: @DrMohanYadav51 X/ANI Photo The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) decided to increase the compensation given for the agricultural land acquisition in rural areas to four times the market price from the previous double the market price, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said. Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, Mr. Yadav said that the move will benefit farmers whose land is acquired while also expediting the pace of various infrastructure projects, including irrigation schemes, roads, bridges, railway lines, and dams. He also said that the cost of any project has not been slashed in view of the decision.
