Ahead of Thursday’s polling for Assembly election, all election-related officials and polling materials, including electronic voting machines and VVPAT machines have been sent to all the 2,001 voting stations located in seven Assembly constituencies in Virudhunagar district on Wednesday. A total of 9,604 polling personnel, including the Presiding Officers, have been dropped using special vehicles at their respective polling stations in 1,010 locations across the district.
