Karandeep will approach the International Series (IS) event with optimism after finishing a creditable tied-fifth at the IS Japan earlier this month. The 26-year-old, however, is cognisant of the complexities of the course and the bearing that the heat could have on the outcome. “This is one tournament I look forward to. It (Sentosa) is the best track in Asia, but it is a tough one. It is a long golf course, so there may not be a lot of birdie opportunities. The heat will also be a key factor; there will be a lot of fatigue involved. It feels like we are in an oven, so rest and recovery will be really important,” said Karandeep on Wednesday.
