Election Commission of India, in view of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections to be held on April 23, has issued guidelines for the political parties and candidates to be followed post 6 p.m. from April 21. As per Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, instructions regarding the conclusion of election campaigning 48 hours prior to the completion of polling have already been conveyed by the Election Commission to all political parties and contesting candidates.
