Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court on Monday directed the Ameenpur Tehsildar of Sangareddy district and the Assistant Commissioner of Police concerned to co-operate with a person in retrieving valuables from the debris arising out of demolition of his properties at Ailapur by the HYDRAA authorities. The judge earlier instructed the HYDRAA authorities not to indulge in demolitions of ‘illegal structures’ except relating to illegal encroachments of water bodies, nails and public roads. In the present petition filed by M.A. Shareef, aged about 98 years, from Ailapur of Ameenpur, who contended that HYDRAA officials, accompanied by police authorities, descended upon his properties in the early hours of Saturday and demolished his two-storeyed house, a century-old ancestral house, water tank, boundary walls and animal sheds.
