DMK alliance a model for India, says CPI(M) leader M.A. Baby

CPI(M) general secretary M.A. Baby on Monday said that by bringing 24 parties into an alliance, the DMK has set a national precedent, specifically its effort to defeat the fascist forces.

Addressing an election campaign in Kulasekaram, in support of CPI(M) candidate R. Chellasamy contesting in Padmanabhapuram constituency, he highlighted that the land of Kanniyakumari holds a unique history. It is the soil where the Dutch army was defeated in the Battle of Colachel. He asserted that just as the Dutch forces were vanquished here, the people of this land will defeat the BJP-RSS alliance.
