After an initial delay, construction of the Vallathai Kadavu bridge over the Cherupuzha, connecting Karamoola and Vallathaipara in Karassery grama panchayat, is making progress. Officials said the project had entered its final phase. The concrete bridge being built at Vallathai Kadavu is now expected to be opened to traffic before the monsoon. The old vented pipe bridge at the Kadavu had been demolished and the new bridge is being constructed at a cost of ₹5 crore, sanctioned by the State government.
