A 53-year-old man was apprehended for allegedly practicing allopathic medicine without proper qualifications in Chengalpattu district. The suspect, Manohar, 53, of Thozhupedu village under Madurantakam taluk, had been running a clinic in Nerkunam village where he was treating public without formal medical training. Acting on specific information, Chunampedu Block Government Medical Officer Vivek conducted a surprise inspection on Friday evening around 6 p.m. Manohar was caught red-handed while attending to patients and was subsequently handed over to the Acharapakkam police.
