The probe into the sexual assault case against Malayalam filmmaker Ranjith has entered the final stage with the special investigation team (SIT) questioning actor Bobby Kurian who was with the former when he was taken into custody on March 31, 2026, police sources said on Friday (April 17, 2026). Mr. Kurian was summoned by the SIT on Thursday. He and assistant director Shalini were travelling with Mr. Ranjith when the police intercepted their car and detained the director from near Thodupuzha.
