The Karnataka government should follow the example of Maharashtra and implement AI to improve yields and reduce costs in farming, farmers leaders demanded in Belagavi on Friday (April 17).

Karnataka State Sugarcane Growers Association president Kurubur Shanthakumar told reporters in Belagavi said that over 5,000 farmers are growing sugarcane by adopting AI technology, and on an average have gotten 50% more yield per acre. AI has reduced costs and ensured remunerative prices, he said.
