MANJUNATH The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has proposed to construct a vehicular underpass (VuP) at KIOCL Junction on Kanniyakumari-Panvel National Highway 66 connecting the Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) Road and Tannirbhavi Road. Located just after the Kulur bridge across River Phalguni (Gurupura) from the city, the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd., Junction witnesses frequent movement of heavy goods vehicles moving to and from MSEZ, Tannirbhavi as well as NH 66. A VuP for crossing vehicles at this junction could considerably reduce the traffic n the National Highway getting affected.
