The New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) will develop the main road leading to Baikampady Industrial Area from the National Highway 66 (from Jokatte Junction), and it will also build a truck terminal at a total cost of about ₹10 crore, according to Mangaluru City North MLA Y. Bharat Shetty.

Dr. Shetty released a video statement in which he informed that the terminal will be built at a cost of about ₹5 crore while a 500-metre concrete road will be laid at a cost of about ₹5 crore.
