Bank of Baroda, Chennai Zone, on January 28 signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission (TNSRLM) at the Global Women Summit 2026 held at the Chennai Trade Centre. The MoU aims to extend banking and financial services to Self-Help Groups promoted by TNSRLM across Tamil Nadu, according to a press release. The summit was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and senior officials of the State government, public sector banks and TNSRLM. Organised by the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission in coordination with TN-WeSafe, the summit brought together Bank of Baroda and other public sector banks, the release added. The event was attended by Pradip Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary, Special Programme Implementation Department; and Asha Ajith, Project Director, TN-WeSafe and several other officials from the State government, public sector banks and the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission.
