Though City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar said no contraband or drugs were found during the raid conducted by NCB along with the city police on a phenyl manufacturing factory in Hebbal police station limits, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Mysuru MP, said on January 29, that these developments were “deeply concerning”. “Investigations into the drug network are repeatedly pointing towards Mysuru. A city once known for its culture and heritage is now gaining notoriety due to drug-related probes under the Congress government’s administration. This is not merely a coincidence; it is the direct result of deteriorating law and order and weak governance,” Mr. Yaduveer said in a statement.
