Traffic police booked 462 cases and imposed fines totalling ₹82,400 during a special enforcement drive against illegal and non-standard number plates across Malkajgiri on April 21. The drive targeted vehicles displaying fancy, tampered or obscured registration plates at major junctions in Trimulgherry and Malkajgiri divisions. Police said 66 repeat offenders were chargesheeted, including motorists found violating norms for a third time and those driving without number plates.
