A total of around ₹48 lakh in cash was seized from in and around the residence of Ottapidaram constituency AMMK candidate R. Sundararaj, on Tuesday. According to sources, acting on a tip off a search was conducted at the residence of Sundararaj, located in Muppilivetti village in Ottapidaram taluk. The search was conducted by officials from the Income Tax department, three Flying Squad Teams and police personnel.
