“The genocide in Palestine was unfolding, and it still is, and I wrote this book looking at it, not looking away from it,” said author Arundhati Roy, as she spoke about writing Mother Mary Comes to Me.

Ms. Roy was in Bengaluru on Tuesday to speak about her recent work in which she traces her relationship with her mother, Mrs. Roy, whom she describes as both “storm” and “shelter.”
