Govarthan Voter turnout in the district increased by 13.19 percentage points in the 2026 Assembly election compared with 2021. Brisk polling was reported at 2,379 polling stations across eight Assembly constituencies on Thursday (April 23, 2026), with the district recording an overall turnout of 90.10%. Turnout in each constituency was as follows: Erode (East) (89.80%), Erode (West) (87.95%), Modakkurichi (90.34%), Perundurai (92.47%), Bhavani (91.96%), Anthiyur (88.15%), Gobichettipalayam (90.74%), and Bhavanisagar (R) (89.53%).
