With temperatures soaring, District Collector N. Devidas has called upon voluntary organisations to play a proactive role in bringing summer relief and safety awareness to all sections of society.

Presiding over a meeting of NGO representatives at the Collectorate, he emphasized the necessity of community participation to mitigate the impact of the rising heat and urged organizations to collaborate closely with the administration. As part of the immediate relief measures, the Collector suggested establishing shaded rest areas (Thanal Panthals) at high-traffic locations such as crowded intersections, markets, and transportation hubs.
