Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurating the VAHAN portal in Hyderabad last month. | Photo Credit: SIDDHANT THAKUR The Telangana Transport Department’s transition to the Centre’s VAHAN portal is gathering momentum, with services being rolled out gradually in a phased, module-wise manner, officials said. Since its launch on March 23, as many as 59,567 temporary registrations have been generated at the dealer level. The fancy or special registration number module is also operational, with 1,262 such numbers allotted so far. Across the State, 9,282 vehicles have been issued permanent registration numbers until now.
