Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday (April 18, 2026) said in a bid to strengthen rural water infrastructure, it has operationalised a statewide SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) enabled monitoring framework integrated with advanced automation technologies under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The system, managed through the Unified Command and Control System (UCCS), will enable real-time monitoring and control of water supply systems, covering parameters related to water quality, distribution efficiency, and asset performance across rural areas. It will leverage a network of approximately 0.7 million IoT-enabled sensors. The platform aggregates live operational data into a centralised dashboard, thereby ensuring data transparency, predictive maintenance, and quick decision-making, the government said.
