Image used for representational purposes only. | Photo Credit: PTI The Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday (April 19, 2026) detained two nationals from the United States at the Srinagar airport following the recovery of a Global Positioning Service (GPS) device and a communicator. A senior police officer told The Hindu that the matter was being investigated. Officials said the police, during searches, spotted the Garmin GPS device, which can be operated from a satellite, in a travel handbag. Thereafter, two U.S. citizens were deboarded, and the device was seized.
