Two flee police custody in Kochi, one nabbed

Two men, arrested in a theft case, escaped from the custody of the Kadavanthra police on Sunday. One of them was recaptured after a brief chase, while efforts were on to trace the other, police sources said.

The accused, Sooraj, a native of Nooranad, Alappuzha, and Russel from Pathanamthitta, gave the police the slip around 5.45 p.m. from Paravur after being produced before a magistrate there.
