Ambedkar, India’s first Law Minister, on his birth anniversary on Tuesday (April 14, 2026). U.P. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the function organised in Lucknow where he paid tributes by offering flowers at his statue. A souvenir titled “Bharat Bhagya Vidhata,” based on Baba Saheb’s principles, was also released. “Under the Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar Statue Development Scheme, beautification and conservation work for Baba Saheb’s statues installed in 75 districts of the State was also launched. Baba Saheb’s entire life was dedicated to the fulfillment of the vision of ‘One India-Best India’ and to provide justice and respect to the Dalits, the deprived, the poor and the women power,” said Mr. Adityanath.
