The Assembly constituencies of Tiruvallur, Ponneri, Maduravoyal and Madhavaram, are witnessing a rematch of the 2021 Assembly election. In 2021, V.G. Rajendran of the DMK had defeated B.V. Ramana of the AIADMK by 22,701 votes. Similarly, in the reserved Ponneri constituency, the incumbent Durai Chandrasekar of the Congress party had defeated Siruniyam P. Balaraman of the AIADMK in 2021. They are contesting again now.
