VENGADESH A three-tier security arrangement has been put in place at the counting centres in the central region where the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have been kept in the strong rooms after completion of polling on Thursday. The central region encompassing 41 Assembly constituencies in nine districts has 12 counting centres. The Thanjavur district has three counting centres while the number of counting centres in Tiruchi district is two. Pudukottai, Karur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, and Mayiladuthurai districts have one counting centre each.
