File | Photo Credit: Debosri Mitra _11312@Hyderabad Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday (April 24, 2026) condoled the death of Shankar Goud, a driver, who set himself on fire on Thursday, amid the ongoing Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) workers’ stir. He urged workers not to lose heart reiterating that the government was making efforts to resolve their grievances through dialogue. He reiterated that the government stood firmly with the family during this difficult time. Mr Prabhakar appealed to workers to register their protest through democratic means and cautioned against any rash decisions driven by anger.
