Traffic congestion seen on GST Road | Photo Credit: Saptarshi Bhattacharya Heavy traffic congestion was witnessed on the GST Road from Perungulathur leading up to Kilambakkam bus stand on the morning of polling day on Thursday (April 23, 2026). Cars and buses inched forward, taking almost an hour to negotiate the stretch, which is barely three to four kilometres long. It left several motorists stressed, as some of them were on their way from the city to the outskirts to vote.
