Amid the rising heat and humid weather conditions in Kerala, the State seems to have reason to cheer in the coming days as the latest weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts widespread summer rains across the State.

The summer rain will gain strength in the State from April 27, and the meteorological agency issued a yellow alert warning of rains in the range of 64.4 mm-115.5 mm in 24 hours in districts like Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Kannur, and Kasaragod on April 29.
