Polling for the Assembly election in the district concluded on Thursday evening (April 23, 2026), with officials reporting a steady turnout and largely peaceful proceedings across eight constituencies.

Officials said polling was smooth in most locations, with only minor glitches such as brief delays in the early hours and isolated instances of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) developing snags. A total of 11,420 polling personnel, 67 micro-observers, and 1,052 police personnel were deployed, while an additional 2,900 police personnel and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) were stationed at polling stations to maintain security.
