M. A. Saleem, Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) of Karnataka Police The State government on Thursday issued a notification extending the tenure of M.A. Saleem, a 1993 batch Indian Police Service officer, as the Director-General and Inspector-General of Police (Head of the Police Force), Karnataka, till August 29, 2027, or further orders, whichever is earlier. Mr. Saleem took charge as in-charge DG&IGP (HoPF), on May 21, 2025, and his appointment got confirmed on August 30, 2025.
