Satish Kumar on Saturday (April 18, 2026) directed the officers in the sub-divisions of Puttaparthi, Kadiri, Penukonda, Dharmavaram, and Hindupur to keep a close watch on habitual offenders, rowdy sheeters, and known criminals as part of efforts to reduce crime. Addressing the district-level review meeting at Sai Aramam Hall here, the SP said that policing should be both visible on the ground and smart in its approach to build public trust. He directed the police officers to track repeat offenders and act firmly against those who pose a threat to public safety, including invoking the Preventive Detention Act when needed.
