Siddaramaiah should be allowed to complete his term as CM, says seer

“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should be allowed to complete his full term. He is a follower of Basavanna’s principles. It is in the interest of State that he continues as Chief Minister for a full term,” seer of the Basava Dharma Peetha Mathe Ganga Devi said in Bagalkot on Sunday.

“Mr. Siddaramaiah has strong belief in Basavanna’s ideology. Like the former Chief Minister late D. Devraj Urs, he is working for the uplift of the downtrodden. Of course, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar is also a good leader. But it is in the interest of the State that Mr. Siddaramaiah is allowed to continue as Chief Minister,” she said.

Sharana Mela

She said that the Chief Minister will inaugurate the 37th Sharana Mela in Kudalasangama on Tuesday. Resource persons, seers and community leaders will discuss various issues related to the Vachanas of Basavanna and other Sharanas.

Guru Mahant Swami of Ilkal Chittaragi Math, Basavalinga Pattaddevaru of Bhalki Math, Minister Eshwar Khandre, MLA Narendra Swami and others will be present, she said.
