A cardiology team at SDM Narayana Heart Centre (SDMNHC) has successfully performed the first implantation of a leadless dual-chamber pacemaker to treat heart rhythm disorder. Speaking to media persons in Dharwad on Friday, cardiologist Raghu Prasad said that the 68-year-old beneficiary was experiencing repeated episodes of unconsciousness due to severe bradycardia, a condition in which the heart beats abnormally slow.
