The Delhi schools resumed regular classes on Wednesday for students in Class 6 and above after air quality marginally improved to the ‘very poor’ category, leading to revocation of Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).

As per the Directorate of Education (DoE) circular issued on Tuesday evening, hybrid classes continued for students up to Class 5.

“Classes will be conducted in the physical mode for Class 6 students and above and the classes for students up to Class 5 will be mandatorily conducted in a hybrid mode – both in physical and online mode (wherever online mode is feasible) – with immediate effect until further orders,” reads the circular issued by the DoE.

Many private schools informed parents about physical classes on Tuesday evening, with most of their students turning up on Wednesday. Sudha Acharya, Principal of ITL Public School, Dwarka, said that even in junior classes, where students were given the option to attend online, over 95% attended school physically.
