Heatwave-like conditions prevailing across Telangana are likely to ease from the weekend, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting light to moderate rainfall in several parts of the State between Sunday (April 19, 2026) and Wednesday (April 22, 2026). The expected change in weather is set to bring some relief from the rising temperatures witnessed over the past few days.

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin issued on Thursday (April 16, 2026), dry weather conditions will persist until Saturday (April 18, 2026), with maximum temperatures expected to rise by 1 to 2°C during this period. However, from Sunday (April 19, 2026) onwards, isolated parts of the State are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm activity.
