National Backward Classes Welfare Association’s State president Burli Seetham Naidu on Tuesday urged the State government to release more funds for the BC welfare corporation and other statutory bodies to improve the socio-economic conditions of the Backward Classes (BCs) in the State. Addressing the media, he said that a majority of the BCs in Andhra Pradesh were living below poverty line in the absence of livelihood opportunities, little income in agriculture and other activities. Mr.Seetham Naidu said that the release of more funds to the Corporation would help many BCs get soft loans and start their own self employment activities.
