Following heavy rain and hailstorm that left the city paralysed on Wednesday (April 29), several areas where trees had fallen or branches had snapped remained uncleared on Thursday (April 30) morning, causing inconvenience to commuters and residents.

According to the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Command and Control Centre, as of 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, 92 of the 226 reported tree fall incidents across the city’s five corporations were yet to be cleared. Of the 623 instances of fallen branches reported, 325 had not been attended to yet.  This added to the congestion on the roads during morning peak hours on Thursday.
