Chief Minister and president of the All India N. R Congress has extended full support to the Central government on the implementation of Nari Shakti Vandan Abhiniyam (Women’s Reservation Bill), which provides 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies in the country. In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said he would extend full support for the implementation of the Nari Shakti Abhiniyam in the country. The Chief Minister’s letter to the Prime Minister comes at a time when the Central government was seeking support from across the political spectrum for amending the Women’s Reservation Act, 2023 to make the legislation effective from the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
