Public urged to cooperate with Census 2027 enumeration in Karaikal

The district administration has called upon residents to actively cooperate with officials in the forthcoming Population Census 2027, emphasising that the exercise is of national importance and vital for policy planning and governance.

According to a Government Order issued on April 25 by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the first phase of the census — House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) — will be conducted across the Union Territory in two stages. Self-enumeration through the official census portal will be open from May 17 to May 31, while enumerators will undertake door-to-door data collection from June 1 to June 30.
