Kerala State Disaster Management Authority member Joy Elamon on Friday inaugurated PSYFER 2026, a Psychology fest organised by the Loyola College of Social Sciences here. Suhas Sathish, Professor, Psychiatry Department, NIMHANS, spoke on the topic ‘Predictive brain in a noisy world’, in which he explained how the brain processes information from the environment, predicts outcomes, and matches them with actual data. Emphasising the importance of mental health awareness, he stressed the need to foster healthy emotional regulation in society. Neuropsychologist Sunny Joseph, senior clinical psychologist L.S.S. Manickam, and Head of the Department of Counselling Psychology at Loyola College of Social Sciences Ammu Lukose also spoke.
