The presence of children at an election campaign in the Erode East Assembly constituency on Wednesday has raised concern over a possible violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), which prohibits the use of minors in political campaigns.

The campaign was organised in support of Congress candidate Gopinath Palaniyappan. Several children were seen at the venue, with many of them waving party flags and appearing to participate in the gathering, despite the fact that political parties are expected to ensure that minors are not involved in election-related activities.
