The Malkajgiri Traffic police booked 1,786 cases for wrong-side driving and four cases for the use of unauthorised sirens during a special enforcement drive conducted on April 22. Officials said fines amounting to ₹22,01,800 were imposed as part of the crackdown, which targeted dangerous driving, illegal manoeuvres and misuse of sirens at key junctions and accident-prone stretches.
