Lakshmikanth Reddy has issued a stern warning to fertilizer dealers against compelling farmers to purchase additional or unwanted fertilizers along with urea, cautioning that strict action will be taken against such practices. Presiding over a meeting of fertilizer suppliers, dealer representatives, and officials at the zilla panchayat on Friday, he said that farmers must be allowed to buy only the fertilizers they require, without any coercion or “linking” conditions.
