Photo: Wikipedia The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in a joint operation with the State police and the Assam Rifles, has seized heroin worth ₹11 crore in Manipur’s Churachandpur district. Based on specific inputs, the joint team on April 23 intercepted a vehicle suspected of carrying narcotics. During the search, 474 soap cases containing heroin were found. “The contraband weighed about 5.42 kg and is estimated to have an illicit market value of around ₹11 crore,” the agency said.
