Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to develop Amaravati into a revenue-generating city and a key growth engine for the State. Chairing the 60th meeting of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) at the Secretariat on Thursday, he emphasised that the capital’s infrastructure should reflect Telugu culture while featuring iconic, high-rise structures.

Mr. Naidu stated that Amaravati is being designed as a green, blue, and highly liveable city, with a focus on sustainability and modern urban planning. He highlighted the importance of attracting investments and positioning the capital as a hub for economic activity. Plans include the development of a financial district, allocation of land for banks and financial institutions, and adoption of advanced infrastructure systems such as district cooling and underground utility ducts for water, power, and gas supply.
