A group of migrant labourers from West Bengal have approached the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC), alleging arson, illegal detention, police assault, and the demolition of their homes in HSR Layout in Bengaluru.

According to the complaint, around 25 sheds at Shyam Sundar Palya were set on fire by unidentified miscreants in the early hours of April 27 (Monday), destroying all belongings, including original documents. The labourers said nine people were inside at the time and narrowly escaped, while an LPG cylinder also exploded during the blaze.
