The University of Madras (UoM) has invited applications from students who have passed Plus Two examination in 2025-26 to pursue undergraduate degree programme in the forthcoming academic year in aided and self-financing colleges affiliated to the university. Applicants from economically backward strata, orphans, children of widows/widowers, first graduates of family, and transgender persons would be given preference for selection. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹3,00,000 per annum, according to a press release.
