Two youngsters, who got addicted to ganja, were admitted to a de-addication centre by the Kurnool police as part of the efforts to curb the menace of ganja consumption, transportation and sale. The police and EAGLE teams have not only been cracking down on consumption, transportation and sale of ganja in the district, but also taken up a campaign to create awareness on the ill-effects of consumption of drugs. According to the police, the EAGLE tollfree number 1972 received information about the consumption of ganja by some youngsters in the city.
